One more sleep and we'll be boarding Voyager of the Seas. I have my blog set on Australian time so it is, in fact only Friday 13 April here. At the moment we're relaxing around the pool in New Orleans in a nice warm temperature of around 27C. Early spring here.
This is our first visit to New Orleans and it sure is a great place. Everyone is very friendly and helpful....I can easily see why it's called the 'Big Easy'. The food is great, as are the bands that are playing at the Jazz/Blues Fest. We've danced our way around the Riverwalk and the bars in Bourbon Street in the French Quarter. Amazing how all the bands are free at this Fest.
Loving the food, it's amazing, but if we stayed here too long I'm sure we would have high cholesterol in no time. Roy is loving the Gumbo. Fresh seafood is a big part of the local diet here.
The Street Car is definitely the way to get around, so convenient and very cheap, a one day pass to use anywhere on the Street Car system was US$3.00 per person.
Well I think it's time for a nice cold afternoon beer.
Next time I post on here it will be from on board Voyager.... :)
